Changing Flight Numbers

Flightblogger has learned that the modified 747 LCF2 has changed its call sign from Boeing 632 to Evergreen 5146 and Evergreen 5104. 5146 represents the leg from Wichita to Charleston and 5104 represents Everett to Wichita. Flightblogger is working to confirm the permanent change in LCF flight numbers. Either way, it looks like Section 41 for ZA002 should be coming to Everett very soon.

UPDATE: LCF2 will return to Everett tonight as Evergreen 5169 with an estimated arrival at 6:12PM PDT.

This would make sense as Evergreen will be operating the aircraft for Boeing ... this would have happened sooner had certification not been delayed ...

I wonder if LCF3 will have an Evergreen Tail on it? would be interesting to see.

This must be the same Evergreen Avaition in McNinnville, Oregon that modifies 747s for Boeing. Evergreen Avaition also has the one and only "Spruce Goose" in it's museum across the road from the factory. This is really a first class museum about 35 miles southwest of Portland. I traveled from Houston to see it and it was well worth the trip. You can wander the museum and actually go inside the Spruce Goose.

McMinnville, Oregon based Evergreen International Airlines, which will operate the LCFs, and Taiwan based Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corporation, which modifies the 747s, are not related.

Isn't Evergreen the aircraft modifier in Taiwan and Evergreen Aviation in Oregon? The museum in Oregon also houses a variety of different aircraft including an SR-71. Great display.
